POLY FRIENDS

Studying in TP is not easy for me. Firstly I am not sociable and I do not have many friends in TP. So far from poly, I only know and get along well are Yiqun, Sheereen, Kimberly and Joey. From ITE, I have Mei Fen, Charmaine, Gui Jing, Li Ji to depend on. In TP, I have 6 lecturers to take care of me. With their encouragement, I am motivated to study harder. I would like to say thank you for their encouragement and help, they have given me.

MR SNG

First impression of Mr Sng is that he is a very young lecturer. I remember the first time I talk to him; I keep interrupting him whenever he talks. I find that he has the most patience as compared to other lecturers. He will explain to me a few times or until I understand. I realized he is an excellent teacher, who really put his heart and effort in his work. He is a very helpful lecturer. He will print extra notes for students or helping students when in need. I remember in first semester I get a D for my semester test, I sometimes did not do ecos's tutorial, he still give me participation marks A. I feel so strange. With his patience, time spend to teach me my exam results jump from a D to a B. In 2nd semester, I was not taught by him, but he is still willing to help me in my ecos. I also have difficulty in OB. He offers me the OB notes he makes last year. He has helped me a lot. But, I did 2 very bad things on him. Once is on the bridge, he saw me and he say hi and he smile and I did not respond. That time is the first time I see Mr Sng smile. This semester I shouted at Mr Sng and Mr Sng keep asking me whether I am ok and I did not respond or ignore him. Next day, I apologized to him and he tells me I did not speak loudly to him. I have difficulty saying just a simple hi to him. But, I will try very hard next semester to say hi to him. I find one thing about Mr Sng is that he really stays focus when he does things. I wondered how he do it. Anyway, Thank you Mr Sng for helping me so much.

MRS WEE

During the first meeting, she keeps sneezing when she talks to me. I keep thinking is she ok, so I ask her you need a tissue and she says I am ok, she still keep sneezing. At one time I call her handphone, her voice is very attractive. Whatever worries, I always tell her and she will always listens. She shares with me how is her life in university times. She will ask me how I am. She always feels that I am hardworking and should not have fear of failure. She keep telling me surely pass. Though known for only half semester, I talk a lot to her. Sometimes feel like she is my mother or a big sister to me. Anything I will ask her and tell her. She will always help me whenever I need help. Thanks a lot for giving me a listening ear and helping me in my statistic.

MR DARSHANS

He is my CP. He has 100% confidence in me. I wondered why? He told me because I am hardworking. He always tells me the most important thing is the character of the person and not the physical appearance. I always tell him about my ITE friends and tell him they are very good to me. He always tells me it is important to remember them. He is confident that I will be able to graduate. He always says I am his A student. He is a fun person and he will listen to you. At one time I needed to find him. He told me to go to one of his classes. He introduces me to one of his graduating classes. I wondered why. From first semester I learnt that he don't like chocolates and cakes. But, he likes sweets and tidbits a lot. He is a very concern CP, he will always ask Mei Fen about me. Thank you.

MRS ALICE LEW

She always tells me to take things one at a time. She tells me not to rush the CDS. If really can't cope take 1 first then take another. She is a nice lady. She will sometimes talk to Yiqun and me. Thanks a lot.

MR KELVIN LIM

My first impression of Mr Lim is that he is like an aeroplane. So fast in his talking, cannot catch what he is talking or saying. As times goes by, I find that he is a nice person. He is a doting father. At one time he told me before; he is an ITE student and slowly become a lecturer. Wow, if I can be so capable like Mr Lim, very good. Additionally, he told me if I am able to jump from ITE to poly, is consider quite good. In this semester, he helps me in my studies. Not only that, in this semester, I really need someone to talk to and I can't find someone. So he spent some time with me and listens to me and talks to me. He told me in life there is up and downs. The most important thing is to be persistent. If really have a problem should go and see a counselor. I really thank him for so much help and providing me a listening ear. Thank you.

MR LIM LOON HENG

First impression of Mr Lim is that he is a funny man. Mr Lim really take care if me in TP. I am really touched that he really went to each of my respective tutor to ask them to take care of me. In first semester, I really find it is difficult to adapt to TP life. I will always go to Mr Lim's office and complain to him. He will tell me when the aeroplane fly it will fly very fast. At one time, he shows his army photo and he told me there is IQ,EQ and there is AQ. When come to selection of courses, he will introduce to me the respective lecturers to me. Some of the lecturers need to make appointment. So I write in a memo paper, it is not properly presented. Then Mr Lim will help me to cut the paper to make it nicer. At one time I talk fiercely to Mr Lim but Mr Lim did not say anything. Well Mr Lim has help me a lot, whenever I need help he will help me, even now he is not the course manager now. This semester I have a problem with statistic and my statistic's tutor is a part-time tutor. Mr Lim introduces to me Mrs Wee. Mr Lim has helped me a lot and has given me a lot of advices. Mr Lim knows I am going to business and he asks me whether I have friends over there. I say no. He says I should go and make friends. With so much help he has given me, Mei Fen says Mr Lim is like my godfather. I personally find that he is a father to all TP students. I would like to say a very big thank you to him.

MRS LEE CHANG YANG

I do not know Mrs Lee very well but, at times we talked. Well she told me actually not only studies is important, getting along with people is important also. Even though, a person who has got all straight As and he steals is not good. At one time. I tell her I wanted to go to university. She says there is no need to hurry and I can work for a few years then save up the money to go to university, as experience is also important. At times, I find that life is not easy, recently I read a book "Follow your heart", inside it says life is never easy, life is full of challenges. In this book I find something interesting, it says everyone who crosses your path is a teacher to you. Indeed I learnt things from Mrs Lee and the rest of the people. Thanks again Mrs Lee.

MRS RUTH CHAN

Mrs Chan is my counsellor. She helps me alot. At one time, during ITE times, I have difficulty in my costing and my costing teacher is not so good, I needed help. Mrs Chan introduces me to a businessman to teach me costing. In the end, in my final last semester results I got all As for my subjects. Even though now, I am in TP, she will call to ask me whether I am fine. If I have any problems and worrries still can consult her. I thanks her alot.

JOEY

I seen her in ITE but I do not know her until Japanese classes. Always Japanese classes, Joey, Kimberly and I will sit together and both of them will help me in my Japanese. I really thank you for helping me.

KIMBERLY

Whenever I go for Japanese classes, I always cannot catch up and don't know what they are talking about. Kimberly will always help me and explain to me what is it. She will lend me her book back home, the notes she has copy to me. Thanks a lot.

SHEEREEN

She introduces me to her friends. In class, the person I can talk most is Sheereen and Yi Qun. She is a caring friend. I remember at one time I was having a very terrible stomache and she will ask me how I am the next day. I find that she is a good presenter.
